Paid local demand when you have no landing page

“We can’t run ads — we don’t have a website” is usually false. What you cannot do is pretend a corporate address page is a landing page. What you can do is buy demand into destinations you are allowed to operate: a booking tool, a link hub, or a native lead form.

This spoke belongs to the no-owned-website playbook. It assumes you have already done the unglamorous work in the profile and reviews chapters. Ads on a broken listing buy expensive proof that the listing was broken.

Order of paid channels when there is no site

1. Local Services Ads — if you are eligible.
Where Google offers your trade and ZIP, LSA runs off a verified Google Business Profile and does not need a marketing site. Pay per lead. Trust and reviews now feed LSA ranking more directly than older badge folklore — another reason review velocity comes before media spend. Confirm eligibility in your category and service area before you treat LSA as “in the plan.” Closest available category beats inventing a job type that does not exist.

2. Search ads with an honest destination.
Geo-target the counties you serve. Send clicks to the approved booking URL or link router — the same rule as the GBP website field. Build ad groups around converting services and languages you can actually answer. Starting budgets stay small until cost-per-lead is knowable.

3. Meta with native lead capture.
Instant Experience and lead forms remove the need for an owned landing page. Form fills should land in the CRM or job system the same day. Creative that wins without a site is usually proof-forward: before/after, short native video, tight radius. Retargeting is limited to people who engaged on Meta — there is no owned-page pixel audience to fall back on.

4. Paid directory upgrades — later.
Featured tiers on platforms you already claimed organically. Compare cost-per-lead to LSA and Meta before making them permanent.

Attribution without Google Analytics on your domain

You will not get a clean on-site funnel. Build measurement from the channels:

  • Call tracking — separate numbers (or platform-provided tracking) for GBP, paid, and directories so “the phone rang” becomes “which channel rang”
  • UTMs on every paid and profile link into the booking tool
  • Link-hub click reports as a stand-in for landing-page analytics
  • CRM source tags at intake as the catch-all (Google, Meta, Yelp, referral, walk-in, other)
  • GBP Performance as the primary organic dashboard: calls, website/booking clicks, directions, bookings if enabled, discovery vs direct impressions, and the search-terms report

Without at least call tracking and source tags, “let performance decide budget” is a slogan.

What the ads are not allowed to paper over

Paid does not fix wrong categories, a dead website field, thin services copy, or a review profile that trails the pack. Those are map pack and profile problems. Fix them first; then buy attention.

Paid also does not replace B2B outreach. A weekly account cadence and a Meta lead form solve different jobs. Run both when capacity allows; when it does not, protect reviews and B2B before protecting ad experiments.

Ready checklist

  • Profile converting on mobile (booking path works)
  • Review requests live on completed jobs
  • LSA eligibility checked (not assumed)
  • Search/Meta destinations approved under brand rules
  • Call tracking + CRM source tags in place
  • A weekly read of GBP actions and cost-per-lead — not vanity impressions alone

Next: bilingual local reach without a bilingual website. Hub: marketing without an owned website.

This playbook is for businesses that cannot publish an owned site. The moment that constraint lifts, a brand-compliant microwebsite does all of this better — and is usually the upgrade worth making.
